Renovations

From initial design through structural work, services installation, and final decoration, our experienced team delivers renovations that enhance comfort, style, and property value – transforming your house into the home you’ve been imagining.

What We Can Help With

Period Property Restoration

Internal Reconfiguration
Knocking through walls to create open-plan living, adding ensuite bathrooms, relocating kitchens, or improving flow between rooms. We'll handle structural calculations, building regulations, and all the work needed to transform your layout.
Modernisation Projects
Bringing dated properties into the 21st century. Updated heating systems, rewiring, new insulation, modern kitchens and bathrooms, contemporary finishes. We respect the original structure while creating spaces that feel fresh and current.

FAQ
1. How long does a renovation take?
It depends entirely on scope. A single-room renovation might take 2-3 weeks, while a full house renovation typically takes 8-16 weeks. We’ll give you a realistic timeline during the quotation stage based on the work involved. Weather doesn’t affect internal renovations, so timelines are generally more predictable than extensions.
2. Can I stay in my home during the work?
In most cases, yes. We’ll work room by room where possible, maintaining access to kitchen and bathroom facilities. For full house renovations, some clients prefer to move out temporarily for speed and convenience, but it’s not usually necessary. We’ll discuss what makes sense for your specific project.
Do I need planning 3. permission for internal changes?
Internal alterations rarely require planning permission, though you will need building regulation approval for structural changes (removing walls, adding bathrooms, significant electrical or plumbing work). Listed buildings have additional requirements. We’ll confirm what’s needed during the consultation and handle all applications.
4. What if you discover problems during the work?
It happens. Hidden damp, outdated wiring, structural issues that weren’t visible until walls were opened up. If we find something unexpected, we’ll stop, show you the problem, explain options for fixing it, and provide costs before proceeding. No surprises on the final invoice.
5. How much will my renovation cost?
Costs vary hugely depending on scope and specification. As a rough guide: single-room renovations from £8,000, kitchen refits from £15,000, bathroom refits from £10,000, full house renovations from £50,000+. High-end finishes, structural work, and period property restoration increase costs. We’ll provide detailed pricing once we understand exactly what you want to achieve.
